Travel to Fes, stopping for lunch at the hilltop village of Chefchaouen, known for its striking blue architecture. In Fes, stay at the luxurious Palais Faraj, once the residence of the Grand Vizier of Jamaï, and explore the city's fascinating old quarter, public gardens, and elaborately carved madrasas. Tour Meknes, a 17th-century rival to Versailles, and the archaeological site of Volubilis, one of the best-preserved Roman towns in North Africa.
